We had a wonderful picnic to wrap up the Children’s Garden classes for the summer. Over 150 people came to celebrate the accomplishments of the 76 children in the program.
We enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, watermelon, lemonade, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies made by the Seed Sowers class, and quick pickles made by the Garden Chefs. Each family also brought a dish to share, so we had quite a feast.
We passed out green thumb awards, cookbooks, and t-shirts. Seed Sowers and Garden Chefs collected their ribbons from the Harvest Fair.
